Specification v1.4 · Revised 24 September 2026 · 9 sections
#Chainlink prices the Reserve
The Reserve values every asset with a Chainlink feed on Robinhood Chain. Each of the seven eligible stock tokens has its own tokenized-equity feed. Unconverted ETH is valued with the ETH/USD feed. Feed proxy addresses are in Contract addresses.
| Feed | What it prices |
|---|---|
| Tokenized-equity feeds (7) | One stock token each: NVDA, AMD, MU, SNDK, TSM, INTC, ASML. The price includes the token multiplier. |
| ETH/USD | Unconverted ETH held by the Reserve |
| GPU-hour oracles | H100-HR, B200-HR and the Frontier-hour composite, from public rental spot markets, hourly |
| Kyzen Network attested feed | DRAM index, HBM4 contract and CoWoS capacity |
backing = sum( balance[i] × price[i] ) ÷ total supply
- balance[i]
- Units of Reserve asset i, ETH included
- price[i]
- Latest Chainlink price of asset i
- total supply
- Every $KYZN in existence, staked and team tokens included
Backing per $KYZN updates every block from the latest published prices. See The Reserve.
#Feeds are classed high risk
Chainlink classes the tokenized-equity feeds as high risk. The Reserve treats every feed as fallible. It checks the age of each price it uses. It bounds every purchase against the feed price. It needs no price to pay a redemption.
#Feeds update 24/5
Tokenized-equity feeds update 24 hours a day, five days a week. When markets close, each feed holds its last price. No heartbeat publishes outside market hours, so updatedAt stays at the last update until trading resumes. Over a weekend, every equity price the Reserve reads is the last price published before the close.
| Action | While markets are closed |
|---|---|
| Reserve purchases | None. The keeper buys in market hours only, so the Reserve never buys the weekend premium. |
| Backing per $KYZN | Calculated from the last published prices. |
| Redemption | Open. It pays in kind and needs no fresh price. |
| Chip-equity payout | The mode buys NVDA or AMD in market hours only. |
#Corporate actions pause feeds
A feed pauses during a corporate action on its stock. The issuer holds pauseOracle and updates the token multiplier for corporate actions. The feed price already includes the multiplier. The Reserve values a holding as balance times feed price and never applies the multiplier a second time.
| During a corporate action | Rule |
|---|---|
| Feed | Paused; no new price publishes |
| Multiplier | Updated by the issuer, Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited |
| Price after the action | Includes the new multiplier |
| Reserve valuation | Balance times feed price, with no second adjustment |
#The Reserve reads updatedAt
Every Chainlink price carries an updatedAt time. The Reserve reads it with each price and applies staleness bounds. A purchase fills only with a price inside those bounds.
age = block time − updatedAt
- updatedAt
- Time of the latest price, reported by the feed
- block time
- Time of the block that executes the purchase
The age of an equity price rises through every weekend and every corporate-action pause. Backing uses the last published price throughout.
#Purchases carry a price bound
A keeper converts the Reserve's ETH into chip equity in slices, time-weighted across the trading session. The contract enforces a maximum slice. It also enforces a Chainlink price bound, so a fill priced too far from the feed is rejected.
| Control | Rule |
|---|---|
| Buyer | A keeper, in slices |
| Timing | Market hours only, time-weighted across the session |
| Size | Capped at the maximum slice, enforced by the contract |
| Price | Inside the Chainlink price bound |
| Freshness | Inside the staleness bounds on updatedAt |
| Weekends | No purchases. The Reserve never buys the weekend premium. |
| Targets | NVDA and AMD 50/50 until the first rotation, then the Scheduler stage weights |
The buy discipline is set out in full in The Reserve.
#Redemption needs no price
Redemption pays in kind. It transfers units of each Reserve asset, not a dollar amount. The formula uses balances and total supply only. A stale or paused feed does not change what a redemption pays.
out[i] = balance[i] × ( b ÷ total supply ) × 0.98
- b
- $KYZN burned
- balance[i]
- Units of Reserve asset i, ETH included
- 0.98
- Backing minus the 2% fee, which stays in the Reserve
The backing figure uses feed prices. The assets paid do not. See Redemption.
#Each action reads feeds differently
| Action | Feeds read | How the price is used |
|---|---|---|
| Reserve purchase | The feed of the stock token bought | Inside the staleness bounds and the price bound, in market hours only |
| Rotation | The feeds of the stock tokens bought | Buys follow the new stage weights under the same buy discipline |
| Backing per $KYZN | All seven equity feeds and ETH/USD | Reserve value divided by total supply, updated every block |
| Redemption | None | Pays units in kind at backing minus 2% |
| Staking, ETH mode | None | Pays the ETH collected from the tax |
| Staking, Compound mode | None | Buys $KYZN from the pool, tax-free, at the pool price |
| Synthetic positions | The market oracle | Values the position against its 150% collateral ratio |
#Synthetics use separate oracles
Silicon synthetics track chip commodities that have no equity, so no stock feed prices them. GPU-hour markets price from public rental spot markets, sampled hourly. DRAM, HBM4 and CoWoS price from the Kyzen Network attested feed.
| Market | Source | Rule |
|---|---|---|
| H100-HR | Public rental spot markets | Hourly |
| B200-HR | Public rental spot markets | Hourly |
| Frontier-hour composite | Public rental spot markets | Hourly |
| DRAM index | Kyzen Network attested feed | Published methodology, multiple sources, dispute window |
| HBM4 contract | Kyzen Network attested feed | Published methodology, multiple sources, dispute window |
| CoWoS capacity | Kyzen Network attested feed | Published methodology, multiple sources, dispute window |
